We are in the midst of Christmastime. The time of shopping, hanging lights, baking. When we sing and tell stories. It's all wonderful; but very simple. This is the time of year set aside especially for celebrating God's great gift to us. He sent His son to the earth as a tiny baby, the same way that we all entered this world. So that he could grow up in this world and die for our sins and mistakes so that we wouldn't have to. Because He loves us that much. I get frustrated when all that people see this time of year is reindeer and presents. And that big jolly guy in the red suit? I don't like him. We teach our children that there's a big man that lives at the north pole with miniature people and reindeer that can fly. Okay, just like any fairytale, princesses, unicorns, fairies and dragons. But I think santa claus is different. He takes the time that's most important: Christmas. It teaches the kids that there is someone out there that knows everything about them, other then God. And the only reason that kids like santa so much is because he brings them presents. It teaches them to be greedy other then to give. Christmas is a wonderful time of year and I hate that people ruin it with santa and his big bag of gifts.
Welcome to my blog - a place to write, share pictures and anything else I feel like. Merry Christmas!
